Comparison of different sinus augmentation techniques for implant placements

Aim: The purpose of the present research was to evaluate various sinus augmentation techniques for implant placements. Methodology: Four were evaluated: 1-stage bone-added osteotome floor elevation procedure (BAOSFE) with simultaneous placement; 2-stage BAOSFE delayed lateral window and placement. Patients followed 18 72 months (mean: 52.5 months) after prosthesis Data analyzed cone-beam computed tomography. Results: A total 96 implants from 71 patients analyzed; pre-treatment, there no significant differences between patients. Total survival 98.9%. mean residual bone height significantly higher in group than other groups (P <.01); 1 this failed at 3 months. There difference gain groups. However, 1st lifting lower (P<.01). failure. Conclusion: favorable outcomes suggest these MSFA procedures should be considered as alternative treatment options extremely atrophic posterior maxilla.
